Week 8 was full of bittersweet moments. Knowing it was our last official week together brought both reflection and pride. As we jogged together for a 20-minute run, we remembered how tough those first 1-minute run, 2-minute walk intervals felt. We laughed at how awkward the drills were in Week 1 — and how shy everyone was back then. But we didn’t just reflect — we also looked ahead, with many girls eager to set new goals and curious about what’s next.

Final Team Practices

  • Tuesday: Final structured workout at Adinai Park with tempo intervals. The girls ran with confidence and strength — clear proof of how far they’ve come.

  • Thursday: A relaxed 20-minute conversation-pace run. We talked, connected, and celebrated the journey.

  • Saturday: Fun relay races and team games — full of cheering, hugs, and energy. A joyful close to our training season.

Final Projects

Each participant completed a final leadership project — their chance to apply everything they’d learned. Projects ranged from fitness events to community wellness sessions. Here are a few highlights:

  • Aijarkyn hosted a running + volleyball event for classmates.“I saw myself as a leader — and that confidence will stay with me forever.”

  • Nuraiym invited her family for a run.“I’m proud of myself and my family for running together.”

  • Tursunai led yoga and goal-setting in the elm grove.“They opened up and felt safe. That gave me motivation to keep going.”

Every girl brought her own voice, strength, and creativity to her project — and we were so proud to support them.

Graduation Ceremony

We gathered at Capito Café for a beautiful celebration.

  • Warm & Fuzzies: Kind notes written for every participant, sealed in envelopes to read later.

  • Superlatives: Fun and thoughtful recognitions — “Most likely to rule the country,” “Embodiment of an older sister,” “A flower who grows brighter every day.”

  • Coach Speeches: Heartfelt words from Joy, Lily, and Salima — celebrating athletic growth, friendships, and team spirit.

  • Participant Reflections: Gratitude, memories, and more than a few happy tears.

  • Awards:

    • Shakira Orunbekova and Ainura Nusubalieva received special recognition for outstanding attendance, training logs, and final projects.

    • All girls received Juniper Kyz t-shirts, custom stickers by Begzada Zholdoshova, and Certificates of Completion.

What’s Next

The pilot may be complete, but Juniper Kyz is just getting started. Our girls have shown that with support, courage, and community, anything is possible.

Stay tuned for updates as we prepare for the next chapter! 💙
