This week reminded us that running is about more than just distance — it’s about adapting to the heat, finding joy in movement, and challenging ourselves on new terrain. From light stadium sessions to social runs in the park, and finally our first taste of real trail running, every practice brought something different.

Tuesday – Stadium

The heat was intense, so we kept the session light — an easy run followed by balance exercises. To cool off, we ran through the sprinklers on the soccer field, which made the whole practice feel fun and refreshing.

Thursday – Park Ataturk

This was a social and easy day. We warmed up with 10 minutes of non-stop running, chatting together the entire time. It was a great reminder that running can be both movement and connection.

Saturday – Trail Running in the Pistachio Grove

Saturday brought a new challenge. After a proper warm-up (always a must!), we set off on a steep incline with about 150m of elevation gain. From the very beginning, we had to use small steps to manage our breathing and pace. It felt tough, but everyone showed real patience and endurance, pushing through to the top.

The reward was worth it — fresh air, beautiful views, and the feeling of leveling up to a new difficulty. We shared the trail with other runners and cyclists, adding to the energy. And after climbing, the flat sections and downhill stretches felt effortless — we were flying!

“This week was especially awesome! Each practice pumped me up with energy and confidence. We ran in the pistachio grove, which was difficult, but the girls’ support helped me not to give up and run to the end. It’s really nice being part of such a warm and friendly community — you feel like you’re not alone, which helps keep you motivated. After practice I feel lighter and proud of myself. I’m looking forward to the next practices 💗🏃‍♀️”— Nargiza

As Week 5 wrapped up, the realization set in — we only had one more week left of our summer program. With so much growth, laughter, and endurance behind us, we’re already feeling proud, but also excited to finish strong together.
